August 31 - October 9, 2016

Urinetown, The Musical

music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann
book and lyrics by Greg Kotis

directed by Allison Arkell Stockman
musical direction by Jake Null

In a Gotham-like city, a 20-year drought has led to a terrible water shortage and a government-enforced ban on private toilets. This is a joyful satire of the legal system, capitalism, corporate mismanagement, populism and politics - just in time for the 2016 Election! Yes, it includes revolution and romance as well. Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, this hilarious musical comedy won 3 Tony Awards in 2001.

URINETOWN was produced on Broadway in September, 2001 by the Araca Group and Dodger Theatricals in association with TheaterDreams, Inc., and Lauren Mitchell.
