Meet the Staff

Allison won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Director of a Musical (Helen Production) in 2016 for her work on Avenue Q. She has directed 27 Constellation productions including The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Wild Party, The Arabian Nights, Urinetown, Journey to the West, The Fire and The Rain, ABSOLUTELY! {perhaps}, The Love of the Nightingale, 36 Views, Gilgamesh, Taking Steps, Metamorphoses, The Ramayana, The Green Bird, Taking Steps, Women Beware Women, Three Sisters, A Flea in Her Ear, A Dream Play.  Allison has directed readings and workshops for Theater J and the Kennedy Center.  A Drama League Directing Fellow and a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, Allison holds an MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and a BA in Comparative Religion from Princeton.

Allison Arkell Stockman

A.J. has created 37 scenic designs and 36 lighting designs for Constellation.  He has received six Helen Hayes Nominations: Outstanding Lighting Design for The Wild Party, Avenue Q, 36 Views; Outstanding Set Design for The Arabian Nights, Journey to the West, 36 Views. Favorite scenic and/or lighting design credits for the company include: Equus, Avenue Q, Metamorphoses, 36 Views, The Ramayana (2011), On The Razzle, The Good Woman of Setzuan, and The Arabian Nights.  As a freelance designer, he has designed for such companies as The Washington National Opera, Opera Cleveland, Opera Vivente, The Maryland Opera Studio, The Kennedy Center, Imagination Stage, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the National Postal Museum, among others.  He is the Lighting Director at the Washington National Opera and is a proud member of USA Local 829.  A.J. holds an MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Maryland, College Park. 

Managing Director

A.J. Guban

Jessica is a Stage Manager and Production Manager originally from New York. She started her career as a dancer but quickly moved her focus to stage management. She has held resident production management and stage management positions with CUNY York College and Streetlight Productions. Other select companies she has stage managed for include Astoria Performing Arts Center, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Ma-Yi Theatre, Chester Theater Company, Boomerang Theater, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Clubbed Thumb, Creative Arts Lab, and Studio Theater.  Jessica's work as a production manager has allowed her the opportunity to work with such companies as See the Wish, Stevens University, The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, and Resident Theater Company. She is a graduate of Hofstra University with a BA in both Dance and Theatre, and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association.

Jessica Pecharsky

Sarah Anne has been part of the Constellation family since 2011, when she joined as the company's first intern. She serves as the primary point of contact for patrons, donors, and subscribers; creates and publishes digital marketing content; supports company events; and assists the Artistic Director and Managing Director as needed. Sarah Anne is also a performer in the DC area; select local credits include Constellation Theatre Company: Urinetown; Keegan Theatre: American Idiot, Dogfight; Brave Spirits Theatre: Henri IV, Parts 1 & 2; WSC Avant Bard: Visible Language (2014 Helen Hayes Award Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical); Lean & Hungry Theater: Othello, The Comedy of Errors; The In Series: The Cole Porter Project. Sarah Anne graduated from Princeton University in 2013 with a BA in English and a Certificate in Theatre.

Sarah Anne Sillers

Nick made his directorial debut at Constellation with Melancholy Play: A Contemporary Farce (Helen Hayes Nomination for Outstanding Director of a Play). Recent local credits include Capital Fringe: Andromeda Breaks, FringePOP; Source Festival: Perfect Arrangement, Math, Limit: a Function of word and thought; Rorschach Theatre: Klecksography. Assistant credits include Constellation Theatre Company: The Skin of Our Teeth, Peter and the Starcatcher, Urinetown; Olney Theatre Center: Carmen: An Afro-Cuban Jazz Musical; Signature Theatre: Cabaret, Sunday in the Park with George, Beaches, Crossing. Nick graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in Theatre and Mathematics.

Artistic Associate

Nick Martin

Alex handles patron ticket and subscription orders, manages the front of house staff, and coordinates donor events throughout the season. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a BA in Theatre and a Dance minor. In addition to being a member of his University Dance Company his collegiate acting credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank, The Goat or Who is SylviaLord of the Flies, and The Wizard of Oz. He served as assistant stage manager for Eurydice and Suessical the Musical, assistant director for Jackie and Me and assistant costumer For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. Alex is an intern alumni of Jacob’s Pillow, Barrington Stage Company, and Dance Place. He is also a proud member of Alpha Psi Omega (ΑΨΩ), The National Theatre Honor Society.
