Allison Arkell Stockman

Founding Artistic Director

Allison won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Director of a Musical (Helen Production) in 2016 for her work on Avenue Q. She has directed 29 Constellation productions including The White Snake, Master and Margarita, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Wild Party, The Arabian Nights, Urinetown, Journey to the West, The Fire and The Rain, ABSOLUTELY! {perhaps}, The Love of the Nightingale, 36 Views, Gilgamesh, Taking Steps, Metamorphoses, The Ramayana, The Green Bird, Taking Steps, Women Beware Women, Three Sisters, A Flea in Her Ear, A Dream Play.  Allison has directed readings and workshops for Theater J and the Kennedy Center.  A Drama League Directing Fellow and a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, Allison holds an MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and a BA in Comparative Religion from Princeton.

Anderson Wells

Managing Director

Anderson Wells is an actor, singer, director, producer, and drag artist in the DC Metro area. They have worked with Rep Stage, The Welders, Brave Spirits Theatre, Studio Theatre, The Hub Theatre, Encore Stage & Studio, The Klunch, and Arts on the Horizon. Anderson's drag persona, "Vagenesis" is the first and current National Bearded Empress. Anderson is also the artistic director of Highball Productions and teaches acting at Studio Acting Conservatory.

Nick Martin

Associate Artistic Director

Nick made his directorial debut at Constellation with Melancholy Play: A Contemporary Farce (Helen Hayes Nomination for Outstanding Director of a Play). Recent local credits include Capital Fringe: Andromeda Breaks, FringePOP; Source Festival: Perfect Arrangement, Math, Limit: a Function of word and thought; Rorschach Theatre: Klecksography. Assistant credits include Constellation Theatre Company: The Skin of Our Teeth, Peter and the Starcatcher, Urinetown; Olney Theatre Center: Carmen: An Afro-Cuban Jazz Musical; Signature Theatre: Cabaret, Sunday in the Park with George, Beaches, Crossing. Nick graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in Theatre and Mathematics.

Anne Marie Wells

Development Manager

Anne Marie Wells (She | They) is a queer poet, playwright, and storyteller navigating the world with a chronic illness. In 2019, her plays Miss Snicklefritz’ Murder Mystery and The Door, were anonymously selected for The Wrights of Wyoming statewide play festival. The Door was selected for publication by The Progenitor Art & Literary Journal (2020). Her short play, Strangers, or Les Inconnus was published by Masque & Spectacle (2020), and her short play The Leaf Whisperer: A Work in Progress was selected as part of the 2020 Wrights of Wyoming play festival. In 2018, she was an inaugural recipient of the Marius P. Hanford IV Award presented by Riot Act Inc. for best new play.

Samuel Klaas

Production Manager

Samuel holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in Theatre Design and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Recent Design credits include Pass Over (lighting design) with The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City, Cosí fan tutte (scenic design) with the UMKC Division of Opera, and Everybody (Scenic and Lighting Design) with the UMKC Division of Theatre. Samuel is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology and the Production Managers Forum.

Julia Rabson Harris

Patron Services Manager

Julia is a freelance director when she's not handling Patron Services at Constellation. Recent directorial credits include Silver Spring Stage: She Kills Monsters; Rorschach Theatre: Klecksography; 4208 Group: 10min Taste; Open Dialogue Theatre: Bad Jews; Open Dialogue Theatre: 12 Angry Jurors. Julia is a graduate of American University and the National Theatre Institute.

AJ Williamson

Marketing Manager

AJ Williamson (They/Them) is a visual artist, graphic designer, producer, and drag artist based in the Washington, DC-metro area. AJ has years of creative experience in branding, art direction, social media management, and layout and video production. AJ also serves as the lead producer of the drag theatre group Highball Productions.
