Right now, your investment in Constellation’s vision, artists, and community is more important than ever.
At the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic in March, Constellation Theatre Company canceled the closing weekend of The 39 Steps in order to protect the health and safety of our artists, audiences, and staff. Two weeks later, we decided to also cancel the entire rehearsal period and run of Eurydice, bringing Season 13 to an abrupt close.
Like most arts organizations across the country, Constellation has been hit hard by the Coronavirus: we’ve lost approximately $95,470 in ticket revenue between the two productions, and we’d invested hundreds of hours and $4,214 in royalties, rent, and materials into Eurydice that cannot be recouped.
Any donation, however small, will help offset these unprecedented financial losses – click here to give to Constellation today.
In spite of these setbacks, we knew we had to do right by our community, many of whom depend on income from theatres for their livelihoods. That’s why we paid all of the actors, designers, and technicians contracted for The 39 Steps and Eurydice for the full run of their respective productions – a commitment totaling $54,439. In addition, our full-time staff remains hard at work (remotely!) planning Season 14 and continues to be paid in full with benefits.
