CURRENT JOB OPENINGS:

Production Manager

Constellation Theatre Company is seeking a full-time Production Manager to oversee scheduling, budgeting, contracting, and the execution of all aspects of physical production, including scenery, lights, costumes, props, paint, sound, and projections for all productions, workshops, readings, and events.

Essential Duties: 

Planning

  • In collaboration with Executive leadership, program, budget, and schedule the season

  • Serve as communication hub for all production activities

  • Create and maintain production schedules

  • Shepherd the design process from hiring through opening night

  • Lead the strike process from planning to execution


Budgeting

  • Manage, monitor, and approve all production-related expenses

  • Realize designs on time and on budget

  • Perform administration of production-related financial activity

  • Assist with administration of production-related payroll


Hiring

  • Contract designers, performers, and technicians

  • Coordinate all production, staffing, and scheduling needs


Supervising

  • Lead all production and design meetings

  • Oversee load-in for all departments

  • Attend all design runs, technical rehearsals, previews, and opening

  • Supervise Technical Director

  • Oversee scene shop and theatre facilities


Other

  • Actively represent Constellation and interact with constituents during special events and gatherings

  • Attend Staff meetings

  

Candidates for this position will possess:   

  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience as a Production Manager

  • Thorough knowledge of all areas of theatrical production

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and work within approved budget

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, CAD programs, Word, Powerpoint

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather/analyze information skillfully

  • Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations

  • Ability to work under pressure on many projects and work with people of varying experience levels

  • Strong communication, diplomatic, and leadership skills

  • Willingness to be flexible, collaborative, highly motivated, organized, and responsible

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually

Development Manager

Constellation Theatre Company is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic fundraiser to become our full-time Development Manager. This individual will work with marketing, patron services, the board of directors, and executive leadership to create, execute, and supervise initiatives and campaigns that will help secure Constellation’s financial stability. 

Essential Duties: 

Strategic Planning  

  • Collaborate with the Artistic Director & Managing Director  

  • Lead fundraising campaigns from the original idea phase through final execution 

  • Develop institutional language, campaign verbiage, and show blurbs to be used in a wide array of company communications  

 

Fundraising  

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors in order to secure leadership gifts  

  • Research and cultivate donor prospects and funding opportunities  

  • Collaborate on writing and reporting on grants 

  • Coordinate mailings for direct appeals, season postcards, and brochures  

  • Design and run reports in CRM to target specific segments of donors and patrons 

  • Regularly report progress to Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors 

 

Engagement and Communications  

  • Organize all Constellation events, including opening nights, donor events, and board meetings 

  • Engage with community members at events, performances, and other gatherings 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Board of Directors 

  • Manage and coordinate work with outside services and vendors to meet deadlines of deliverables  

  • Oversee public relations 

  

The successful candidate will be:  

  • Excited and enthusiastic about theatre and the performing arts 

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities 

  • A person with superior verbal and written communication skills 

  • An experienced professional with a proven track record in development and major gifts solicitation for a non-profit organization 

  • A strong manager who is a self-starter and a leader  

  • A creative, energetic individual who is committed to realizing the vision of Constellation Theatre Company 

  

Candidates for this position will possess:   

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising 

  • Analytical skills and the ability to offer creative solutions 

  • The ability to properly prepare for and meet deadlines 

  • Experience with CRM systems (PatronManager/Salesforce a plus) 

  • Fundamental computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination 

Job Type: Full Time
